I'm so proud and excited to announce another component from Mijosoft team, MijoVideos, the revolutionary
Joomla Video Sharing component. MijoVideos allows you to turn your site into a professional looking video-sharing site similar to YouTube.
With a huge variety of features and options, at an extremely affordable price, MijoVideos is the ultimate video component for starting your highly profitable video sharing community website just like the big boys: YouTube, Dailymotion, or Vimeo.
MijoVideos is a native Joomla MVC component written from scratch by
Burak in 6 months for Joomla
2.5 and
3.x. Mehmet helped him in implementing playlists and Gilbert prepared the migration tools (from the other video components).
As this is a video component, we decided to hit the highlights with a trailer (video embedded from mijosoftdemo.com):
Beautiful interface
This was one of our main tasks, how a user will feel when he/she interfaces with MijoVideos, front-end and/or back-end. We've made tons of meetings and compared the systems already out, mostly YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion. And at the end, we got a modern, beautiful, responsive and powerful video sharing component for Joomla!
HTML 5 and mobile ready player
Player is the deadly weapon of MijoVideos. After a lot of researches, we decided to choose the
VideoJS as the "default" player of MijoVideos. VideoJS is a JavaScript (not jQuery) and CSS library that makes it easier to work with and build on HTML 5 video. It's a clean player with tons of features such as responsive, fullscreen, subtitles, thumbnails, watermark, loop and
a lot more.
Drag & Drop upload
As the new web technologies tend to move from "cool code" to "cool interface", we implemented an extremely easy to use uploader into MijoVideos, thought for users and not coders :) All you have to do is to drag and drop the videos, multiple at once. Check out the
details.
Channels & Playlists
Channels are the dynamic version of categories where users can subscribe, like/dislike, attach videos, add thumbnail and banner etc. MijoVideos puts them a step forward with the Multi-Channel feature which makes them usable as sub-accounts, just like with YouTube. Here you can find more info about
multi-channel. We've also been inspired by YouTube while implementing the
playlist feature, the method to add videos and display them.
Template override
As we've focused on the interface, we've also prepared two
template overrides so you could turn the appearance of MijoVideos into the same interface as the popular video sites as YouTube and Dailymotion. Check out the screenshots
here. More will come soon.
Front-end Management
This feature offers you to manage the whole component as you where in admin panel but from front-end. Of course that every step is controlled by the ACL settings so that only those who have access rights can make any action. Moreover, the whole code is used from the back-end one, not re-written again just for the front-end. MijoVideos is the second component that offers it in the Joomla world. The first one is MijoShop :)
Multilingual support
For multilingual websites, MijoVideos allows you to create videos, categories, channels, playlists, report reasons and custom fields in different languages on the fly.
Modern infrastucture
MijoVideos ships with a modern infrastucture with features such as MVC design (no spaghetti code), PHP 5.4, clean URLs with SEF/SEO support, extendible trigger system etc.
Migration from other components
Are you already using another video component and want to try MijoVideos without extra labour? Nothing to worry about, we've written migration scripts for the most popular components,
here you can find the full list.
As you can see from the
feature list, there are a lot of features such as frames preview, custom fields, comments integration, search plugins etc I can mention here but that would just be a duplication of the feature list.

quesion some uses could be intereted to be able to post video from a cck
example ; from a cobalt cck field , i upload video or i attach existing video in mijovideo
same with zoo or k2 many possiblities
thank you
There is a way but, its complex and costly. What you have to do is setup your player as a streaming player to stream the video to the browser in real-time. So, the PC/Mac is viewing a video stream vs begin fed a file.
This prevents you from downloading but, you can still sit back and screen record the whole thing including audio with many desktop tools. This takes a LOT of bandwidth and server power to do.
Great work as always.
Mighty Jommla Software as always., keep up good work
Am I correct to think that this Ext. is set up to upload videos to my current web host?
My understanding is that most web hosts are not setup for large videos...
Do you discuss somewhere about video hosting options?
Can the player use existing video uploaded/hosted at existing sites like: Youtube, Vimeo...?
