MijoShop 3 - New Design, Fully Responsive

After extensive development and testing, the leading Joomla shopping cart, MijoShop 3 is out! This release invites you to meet with M-Commerce (Mobile Commerce), the future of online shopping industry.

 

New Design

The main task of this release was design, the battle between User Interface and User Experience. After meetings over meetings, tons of stressful hours MijoShop 3 is out with a whole new interface as shown in the above teaser. We've moved the menu from top to the left side and added a toolbar at the top. The toolbar includes an amazing Ajax Search that search between products, categories, manufacturers, customers, orders etc. and allows you to go to the respective edit page instantly. It also has notification buttons that highlights new orders, customers etc. The left side menu is also collasible.

Fully Responsive, Back-end & Front-end

That's right, MijoShop 3 reforms the Joomla E-Commerce field with responsive back-end and front-end interface. Due to the rise of mobile devices on almost every field, the E-Commerce industry has had a major impact. According to Comscore, 78% of local business searches from mobile phones resulted in a purchase, a really huge percentage.

Custom Fields

MijoShop 3 comes with Custom Fields feature which is useful to add extra input for customer account or address. You can add unlimited new fields, but not disable the default fields.

Recurring Payments

Recurring payments was one of the most requested feature from our members. MijoShop 3 comes with this feature in the core. You can set days, weeks, months and years for the recurring time.

Marketing Tracking

This is a great feature to help you track how effective specific campaign lead to sales. All you have to do is to add a unique ID to your links.

Whats Next

We've started working on MijoShop 3.1 which will make the dashboard widgetized so you could add/remove widgets and customize your dashboard as you want.

How to upgrade to MijoShop 3

Unfortunately, that is not possible because MijoShop 3 comes with OpenCart 2 inside. As you may know, the OpenCart 2 version is totally different and ALL of the previous extensions are not compatible. So in order to prevent any site crash caused by the 3rd party OC extensions, we've decided to not offer a direct upgrade from previous versions of MijoShop. We'll release a migration script very soon for MijoShop 2.5 users so you could migrate your data (not template etc). Also, MijoShop 3 is compatible only with Joomla 3.

What about MijoShop 2.5

This release doesn't support Joomla 2.5 due to it's End of Life. The development of MijoShop will continue over the 3rd version. We will release a new version for MijoShop 2.5 only if there is a security issue. So from our side, development has ended for Joomla 2.5 but support will continue till the end of 2015.
